What you see here is one possible future of Harley Davidson, should they still be around in 2020. Without going too much into mechanical details, Jonathan Russell (designer of this bike concept) is very firm about one thing. Fusion of Harley-Davidson with Apple Technology. Not the fruit, but company who is producing todays most advanced computers and electronic gadgets.

So how should this fusion work? Well – it’s all about Apple technology inspired laser etched perforations in the aluminum (tank), which gives enough translucency to let the LED lights underneath shine through. These type of perforations are found on latest models of Apple Macbook Pro computers, and are used here as to display gauges and GPS systems. The “2020 Harley Davidson 1″ list of technology doesn’t stop there. It goes as far as non skid treads, enlarged V-Twin engine, airbox, oil tank, and battery all located inside the gas tank area.

Should Harley-Davidson continue to focus on its core of big-air-cooled V-twin machines? Should they go for lower spec Sportster line or its high performance, V-Rod bikes? We will leave it for future to show…but we love when we see some creative mind, pushing the envelope.
