Hey Folks,
I´m new in here. I´m from Germany/Bavaria and won´t speak just a word swedish.
I hope i´m just in the right rubrik :-).
I got following problem. I wanna build me up a Hardtail Chopper with an Evolution Motor. But if i buy me a frame here in Germany i need to comply with the German Registration laws and that´s not funny here, cause for the emission Standard you need to have Euro 3 Norm and for that i have to build the bike up with an Twin Cam Motor and an EFI-System and an Exhaust system with catalyst.
So, this Solution is f...ing´ expensive for a student.
My prefered way to soloute this problem would be to buy an frame with an old Registration where i easyly could put in an Evomotor with carburator.
So what i´m looking for is an Aftermarket Hardtailframe with swedish papers(title) with an first registration date 1998 or older. Best would be a first Registration 1989 or older cause 1990 up you need to have realy quiet exhaust systems here in Germany.
If it´s possible the frame should be like the Sanntee wishbone or straightleg frames for Evomotors with rake and without stretch.
It´s not possible if in the papers is written down Harley Davidson, that would give me probs here. In the papers/title needs to be written down the name of the aftermarketmanufacturer.

Hope anybody of my swedish brothers could help me so.

If ya know anything, please send me a mail to bayern_rocker@yahoo.de

Thanx in front.......

Are you sure it's not gonna be a problem with old papers? Everything regarding importing/exporting vehicles became much easier after Sweden entered EU but that didn't happen until 1995. You are probably already aware of this issue.

I'm with mullemeck. Go to www.blocket.se, press "Hela Sverige" in the bottom right, choose "Motorcyklar" or "Mc-delar och tillbehör" (Motorradteile und Zubehör) and press SÖK. Good luck!

I'm sorry but I think it will be impossible in any case to have it approved in Germany. As you know we have very good regulations for home made vehicles here in Sweden. But when we approve a home build chopper in Sweden it is a national approvement, that bike will not be possible to have approved in Gemany despite both of the countries beeing member of the EU.
If you bring an older bike that is original with the correct length, fork etcetera it is possible but then it is no chopper. You have to buy something that can pass the German authorities.

Hogtech are selling their Absolut Chopper, it will work but it will not be cheap. Other manufacturer does also exist (Custom Chrome?)
Sweden is a nice country with very litte traffic, move here after your studies. You will learn Swedish quickly.

D.A.D. are Danish... :p
And, you´ll hate our insane taxes if you move here.
Actually, I´m thinking of moving down south, somewhere around München.
I love Germany, and especially the south Swartzwald-area. :)

Niko, if you make let's say 40KSEK/month in Sweden you have to make around 20% more in Germany to get the same net income. Sad but true. Taxes are lower but insurances and shit will drive you crazy. Although all and all it's much cheaper to live in Germany if you like beer, food and motorcycles. vc; br;

Hey Niko, sorry cause D.A.D. I live 30 Kilometers south of München.
But what you would hate here is we have 224 people per square kilometer, it´s absolut fucked up, and here around Munich it´s expensive to live, it´s cheaper in Northern Germany where Vic is.
Here at us are the hole rich and famous fuckers, i´m in the area of the Tegernsee.
But if you wanna come over for a trip, let me know, so you got a bed man.
