If you start building such a quality bike when you are only 18 years old, probability is high that you inherited some kustom culture genes. Dad restores old cars and builds hot-rods in Hartford, South Dakota. a small city on the edge of Highway 90, just minutes west of Sioux Falls. Brother in law collects and tinker with Pans, Shovels and Knuckles… Kully Millage lives among Greasers, races dirt track bikes between the age of 11 and 17 and at 18 begins to dream of showing off an old school racing project in Sturgis during the 2011 AMD Championship Of Bike Building. And of course he will be the youngest entrant of the competition…

Pursuing the old racer look, Kully’s choice was to use a 1977 Ironhead Sportster engine and tranny in a Paughco frame, sacrifying performance enhancements for cosmetic improvements using both genuine parts from Harley (1942 Springer front end, Hollywood bars), from Triumph (rear fender) mixed with well known custom parts from Cole Foster (gas tank), Crime Scene Choppers (oil tank), Exile Cycles (rear Brake/Sprocket) Exhaust is Kully’s first High School welding job, and pinstriping is his first try at the art of handling squirrel, pony and camel hair brushes. A lot of wing nuts for assembly complete the vintage racing look. Kully is currently building a second bike for the next Sturgis AMD Championship. Becoming a pro builder? Of course, it’s his dream. No website, yet, but if you need some help with your bike, you can contact him at 605-351-5249.
